US 93 has been selected to become part of the CANAMEX corridor, a federally-designated, north-south route established to accommodate commercial traffic under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). At this time, potential alignments for the segment of the CANAMEX route between I-10 and US 93, including Vulture Mine Road, are under study. However, the CANAMEX study is not included in the US 93: Wickenburg to Santa Maria River Location/Design Concept Study.
